This project involved stripping down a 1995 Trek 930 and making it into a disc brake-equipped commuter bike for Boston winters.
First up, the canti brake bosses needed to be removed.
Next the top tube cable routing was ground, filed, and sanded down.
Frame fender eyelets had to be removed to make room for an ISO disc brake tab.
Paragon Machine Works supplied the ISO tab. It had to be mitered to fit, and then jigged, fluxed, and fillet brazed.
To restore rear fender mounting capability, a hole was drilled in each seatstay, and a bottle boss brazed in.
